Walk-In Cinema

2020—

The Walk-In is an under-resourced outdoor cinema located in the carpark at Watch This Space, Alice Springs (not pictured) named in honour of the original Pioneer Walk-In Theatre (1939—1984). Community members and guest curators are invited to organise a monthly film screening and food sharing event that is free for all passersby. With it’s prominent public frontage on Gap Rd, the cinema creates an environment to welcome everyone for dinner, a movie, or both.

Despite occuring regularly each month the cinema remains criminally underdocumented.
